Everything you need for a little mid-cruise washing, without a trip to the ship's laundry.

Whether it's swimmers, underwear, a favourite top or something that's just acquired half your dinner, the Voyage Ready Cruise Cabin Laundry Kit gives you a compact setup for washing and drying a few things in your cabin.

It's based on the setup I use myself when travelling, with a few useful additions for dealing with stains and actually washing the clothes rather than simply finding somewhere to hang them.

What's included:

• Stretchy travel clothesline with built-in pegs/toggles – hang clothing without needing separate pegs.
• 3 heavy-duty magnetic hooks – cruise cabin walls are generally metal, so you can position the line where it works for your cabin. I also use the third magnet to support the middle of the line and reduce sagging when needed.
• Foldable laundry hamper – gives dirty clothes somewhere to live during the trip and folds down when you're packing.
• 16 x strawberries & cream scented laundry sheets – lightweight, compact and much easier to travel with than a bottle of laundry detergent. And yes, they smell delicious. 😂
• 1 x Exit Soap stain remover stick – an Australian-made, biodegradable vegetable-based soap that's handy for treating stains before washing.

Why I chose it

I've washed plenty of clothes in cruise cabin basins over the years, particularly on longer cruises. It means I can pack less, rewear things and deal with the inevitable spill without having to send one item off to the ship's laundry.

The laundry sheets take up virtually no room, the Exit Soap gives you something for spot cleaning and stains, and the magnetic clothesline setup makes use of the metal cabin walls to create somewhere practical to dry everything afterwards.

The whole kit packs away compactly when you're not using it.

A quick cabin tip: wring as much water as you can from hand-washed clothing, then roll it firmly inside a dry towel and press down before hanging. It removes a surprising amount of extra water and helps things dry much faster.
